Vietnamese Anime Streaming Site Aniwatch Makes U.S. Piracy Watchlist. Review of Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting and Piracy (the Notorious Markets List) released by the United States Trade Representative(USTR). It claims Aniwatch as a rebranded version of Zoro.to. USTR describes the list as “online and physical markets that reportedly engage in or facilitate substantial trademark counterfeiting or copyright piracy”. Another 38 websites were banned alongside Aniwatch.
Zoro.to was shut in July 2023. It was rebranded as Aniwatch and became most popular pirate streaming Site in the past six months.
USTR also added that Aniwatch servers are operating outside of Vietnam. Operators of Aniwatch using reverse proxy services to hide the server location.
